Itinerary

Egitours Egyptologist tour guide will pick you up from Luxor hotel/Nile Cruise/Airport to Start your tour to the west bank where you will visit the Valley of the Kings, the royal cemetery for the new pharaonic kingdom, there are many kings buried in this valley. The most visited tombs are, King Ramses IIIKing Ramses IX, King Mrenptah and Tut-Ankh-Amon (Extra ticket). Then, proceed to visit The Valley of the Queens; the place where wives of Pharaohs were buried during pharaohs New Kingdom (1550–1070 BC). In ancient times, it was known as Ta-Set-Neferu, which means: “The Supreme Beautiful Place”, because beside the Queens of the 18th, 19th and 20th dynasties, many princes and princesses were also buried with various nobles. Move on to visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1500-1480 B.C), the only woman who reigned ancient Egypt. Then, proceed to visit the Valley of the Artisans at Deir el-Medina that was called Set Maat “The Place of Truth”. It was home city to the artisans and workmen nominated for constructing the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings during the 18th 19th and 20th dynasties. You will enjoy exploring the ruins of the city, the Greco-Ptolemaic temple, dedicated to the goddesses Hathor and Maat which consists of a small structure within a mud brick enclosure wall, and two of the finest decorated tombs of Sennedjem, Inherkau, both were high chiefs of artisans. Continue to visit Habu Temple of king Ramses III, the last warrior pharaoh of the New Kingdom (1550 – 1080 BC). The Temple is the best-preserved among the New Kingdom mortuary temples. It is decorated with war scenes and texts representing the victories of the king, as well as scenes of wrestling, rituals performed and festivals. A royal palace was attached at the south of the open court. End you tour with a stop at the colossi of Memnon which remain from the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Later you will be driven back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor.
